Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Picks Up Ninth Straight Win at Home

It's playoff time, and Trinity Christian Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They skirted past the Maclay Marauders 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Conquerors as they're now sitting on three straight.

Aaron Watson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Aiden Arnett was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jordan Martinez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Trinity Christian Academy's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Maclay, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-8.

Trinity Christian Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Marauders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
