Volleyball Recap: Port Clinton Takes a Loss

Port Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Margaretta Polar Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Polar Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 25-15.

Ella Carmon paced Port Clinton's offense, picking up eight kills. Carmon got some help from Lila Bishop and her 15 assists. Brianna Sensmeier controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Port Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Margaretta, they moved to 6-12 with that victory, which also ended their six-match losing streak.

Port Clinton has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Willard on the 2nd. As for Margaretta, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Vermilion on the 2nd.
