Norwalk entered their tilt with Greenwich on Saturday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cardinals, sneaking past 7-5. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Norwalk saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Collins, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave Collins a new career-high. Another was Emily Restaino, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Norwalk pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Greenwich, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Norwalk will have a chance to go back-to-back against Greenwich: the pair will be back at it again later today.
