Hudson Higgins produced another solid performance rushing for 195 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries. He is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last seven games he's played.
Mars Hill Bible's run defense was locked in: Piedmont could only muster 0.9 yards per carry. The Panthers didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.3.
Meanwhile, Bayside Academy's offense rose to the challenge against a Panthers defense that boasted an average of only 14.71 points allowed on Friday. The Admirals blew past Southside 51-20. The Admirals pushed the score to 51-8 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.
Bayside Academy's win came from a few key players Mars Hill Bible will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brennen Yamane, who rushed for 64 yards and three scores. Noah Cain was another key player, gaining 63 total yards and three touchdowns.
Bayside Academy's defense made their presence known, laying out Kole Moody four times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Monroe Partin, Will Allen, and Jack Wilkinson, who each picked up one sack apiece. Partin got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Mars Hill Bible's record is now 14-0. As for Bayside Academy, their record now sits at 13-1.
