Volleyball Recap: Lexington Minutemen vs. Burlington Red Devils        
        
		
             If Lexington was feeling good  off their  3-0 takedown of Watertown last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lexington Minutemen fell just short of the Burlington Red Devils by a score of  3-2 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Minutemen of the  3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in September of 2023.
 Lexington took Burlington into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. After all that action, the final score was 15-25, 25-20, 25-19, 24-26,  15-11.
 Lexington's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Erin He, who  had ten  digs, and  Muya (Shirley) Xi, who  had nine  digs, eight  kills, and two  aces.
  Karina Boyadjiev had a dynamite game for Burlington,  getting 17  digs. Boyadjiev is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had seven or more in the last six games she's  played dating back to last season.
 Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Burlington,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-0.
 Lexington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  3-0  victory vs. Waltham on the 9th. Burlington has also already played their next contest,  a  3-0  loss against Newton South on the 9th.
