Seaholm dropped their record down to 12-2 on Saturday, which also ended the team's 11-game streak of wins. They lost 10-2 to the Greenhills Gryphons. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Maples, who until this match were averaging 2.86 runs allowed.

Seaholm got a good showing from Nate Mulligan, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Patrick Hughes was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

As for Greenhills, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-3. The result was nothing new for the Gryphons, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

On Greenhills' side, Nick Roney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Talen Pilz was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kade Mason, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

While Seaholm had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
