Lincoln barely beat Normal West the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Railsplitters never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Railsplitters also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Normal West, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Looking ahead, Lincoln will face off against Mt. Zion at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Normal West, they will challenge Heyworth at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.41 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
