Softball Recap: Kings Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Kings won against Badin last Saturday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Knights' pitcher stepped up to hand the Winton Woods Warriors an 11-0 shutout. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Grace Parkhurst, who fired off three home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-3. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high. Natalia Brignoni-Marcano was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3.

Kings pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Winton Woods, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Kings will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair will be back at it again later today.
