While James Island put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for West Ashley. James Island put the hurt on West Ashley with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Trojans have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

James Island's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for West Ashley, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. James Island is set to face off against their familiar foe Summerville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (James Island 3.5, Summerville 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, West Ashley will take on rival Stall at 6:30 p.m. on April 7.
