East Lake had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Hurricanes with a sharp 3-0 win. The Eagles have beaten the Hurricanes the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Hurricanes has come to flipping the script.

While East Lake won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 25-23.

Looking ahead, East Lake will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Tarpon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Classical Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
