East Lake had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Hurricanes 3-0 on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

While East Lake won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 25-23.

Coming up, East Lake will be playing in front of their home fans against Tarpon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Classical Prep on the 21st.
