Baseball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Wingate Bears, falling 9-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 back in March.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Wingate, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Northwest beat the Bears by a score of 2-0 later that day.
