            Basketball Recap: Castlewood Warriors vs. Wessington Springs Spartans        
        
		
        
        
            Castlewood and Wessington Springs squared off in some playoff action  on Tuesday, but Castlewood had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory  and fell  49-48 to the Wessington Springs Spartans. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in February of 2018.

  Ava Ruml and  Sophia Kudrna certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss.  Ruml  on her way to 18 points in addition to seven  boards and four  blocks, while  Kudrna  posted 20  points and five  rebounds. The dominant performance gave  Ruml a new career-high in  points.
Castlewood has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record  this season. Wessington Springs is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record  this season.
 Castlewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wessington Springs, they will face off against Deubrook at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
