Softball Recap: Mceachern Rolls Past Wheeler

McEachern's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Wheeler Wildcats with a sharp 13-2 victory. The win was some much-needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

For Wheeler's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexandra Rodriguez, who went 1-for-2 while logging 1 RBI.

McEachern's victory brought them up to 10-11. As for Wheeler, they have traveled a rocky road for a while, having lost 26 of their last 27 games, dating back to last year. That leaves them at a 1-18 record this season.

McEachern and Wheeler could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Indians (ranked 261st) will meet Campbell (ranked 112th) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Wheeler will square off against Cherokee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (#364 vs. #27).
