Basketball Recap: Pineapple Cove Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Pineapple Cove Classical Academy lost against Morningside Academy back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pineapple Cove Classical Academy Patriots took a hard 54-38 fall against the Morningside Academy Eagles. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Pineapple Cove Classical Academy lost, don't look at Michael Barna. Despite the final result, he posted eight points in addition to seven boards and five blocks. Another player making a difference was Ervans Tima, who put up four points.

Morningside Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but AJ Chang led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 22 points and nine boards. Chang is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Stephen Moss, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds.

Pineapple Cove Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Morningside Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.

Pineapple Cove Classical Academy will face off against Synergy Magnet K12 at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pineapple Cove Classical Academy is facing Synergy Magnet K12 at the right time seeing as Synergy Magnet K12 is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Morningside Academy, they will welcome Port St. Lucie at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
