Volleyball Recap: St. Paul Central's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

St. Paul Central waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Coon Rapids Cardinals.

Despite the loss, Coon Rapids still got an impressive performance from Josh Kavanaugh, who had 11 digs. Kavanaugh is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last six games he's played. Lengxing Yang also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

St. Paul Central's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Coon Rapids, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

St. Paul Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coon Rapids, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Anoka on the 10th.
