Football Recap: Purchase Line Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Purchase Line's offense. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 16-0 to the Portage Mustangs. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Red Dragons couldn't quite close it out.

Ian Layden threw for 37 yards on four of 12 attempts. Tyler Houser was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards. On the ground, Victor Bartlebaugh rushed for 31 yards.

Portage had a senior duo take command as Issac Willinsky rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown and Bode Layo gained 80 total yards and a touchdown. What's more, Layo also racked up 39 rushing yards, the mosthe's had since back in September of 2023.
