The Young Women's Leadership Academy Cardinals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 48-24 margin over Fox Tech. Young Women's Leadership Academy didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.

Gabriela Santos was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points. That makes it 22 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Young Women's Leadership Academy's points. Kayla McEwen was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Young Women's Leadership Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-17. As for Fox Tech, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-19.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Young Women's Leadership Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face San Antonio Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Fox Tech, they will take on John F. Kennedy at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. John F. Kennedy is on a five-game streak of home losses, Fox Tech a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
