Recap: Cimarron Bluejays vs. Norton Bluejays

The Cimarron Bluejays and the Norton Bluejays squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but sadly the Cimarron Bluejays had to settle for second. They fell 50-40 to the Bluejays. While losing is never fun, Cimarron can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Norton is ranked 92nd).

Norton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Roman Hauser, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Hauser hasn't dropped below eight assists for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylen Murray, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Cimarron has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for Norton, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-4.
