Volleyball Recap: Amphitheater Comes Up Short

Amphitheater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Sahuaro Cougars, falling 3-0. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

While Amphitheater was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Sahuaro's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-16, 26-24.

Amphitheater's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amphitheater will challenge Sabino at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sahuaro, they will take on St. Augustine Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
