It was a good run, but Ponderosa unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 24-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Park Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Panthers are ranked 18th).

Even if they lost, Ponderosa's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Babette Crutti, Cheyenne Jones, and Julianne Horne, who each picked up one sack apiece.
