Volleyball Recap: Palmer Takes a Loss

Palmer lost against Giltner back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Hornets. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Palmer was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22.

Marlea Donahey paced Palmer's offense, picking up nine kills. Donahey got some help from Kayden Tyan and her 16 assists. Hailey Weller controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Palmer's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Giltner, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.

Coincidentally, Palmer and Giltner will both be playing Elba the next time they take the court. The Hornets will head out to face the Bluejays at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Tigers will head out to face them on Tuesday.
