Penn extended their winning streak to seven on Friday, bumping them up to 7-0. They were the clear victors by a 34-12 margin over the Elkhart Lions. The result was nothing new for the Kingsmen, who have now won five matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

As for Elkhart, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alfonzo Newbern, who rushed for 114 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries. Newbern really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run. Another passer making a difference was Micah Jarrell, who threw for 184 yards and one TD while completing 71.4% of his passes.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Penn is set to take on their familiar foe New Prairie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Elkhart will square off against rival Mishawaka Marian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
