Softball Recap: Marcos de Niza Comes Up Short

Marcos de Niza lost against Cactus Shadows back in February of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Padres lost 13-1 to the Falcons. The match marked the Padres' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Marcos de Niza's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-2. As for Cactus Shadows, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Cactus Shadows will square off against Peoria at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Marcos de Niza will be paying especially close attention to the Falcons' matchup: after the Falcons faces off against the Panthers, they'll take on Marcos de Niza again at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
