Baseball Recap: Sperry Comes Up Short

Sperry was the 7-2 winner over Kiefer when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sperry Pirates fell 5-1 to the Kiefer Trojans on Monday.

Sperry saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Blaylock, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Aaden Miller also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Sperry now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Kiefer, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

While Sperry had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
