Softball Recap: Katella Has No Trouble Against Loara

Katella barely beat Loara the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights blew past the Saxons 16-1 on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2020.

Nicole Herrera was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Valerie Quezada, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Katella's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Loara, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Katella will take on Laguna Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Loara, they will face off against Orange at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
