Baseball Game Preview: Tuscarora Huskies vs. Victor Blue Devils

The Tuscarora Huskies will head out to challenge the Victor Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tuscarora has given up an average of 9.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuscarora is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They came up short against Varsity Opponent, falling 11-5.

Tuscarora got a good showing from Ethan Johnson, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Johnson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Connor Quill made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Michael Kozikowski, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Victor hadn't beaten Webster Schroeder on the road since May 2, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them last Monday. The Blue Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Warriors.

Tuscarora's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Victor, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
