Softball Recap: Hickory Takes a Loss

Hickory was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 13-7 to the West Iredell Warriors. If the Red Tornadoes were looking for revenge after losing 8-3 to the Warriors when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Madelyn Morphis was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Zarianna Dover was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Hickory's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for West Iredell, their record is now 3-6.

Hickory does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Iredell, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-6 victory against the Red Tornadoes on the 11th.
