Football Recap: Van-Far Starts Season with Victory Against Westran

Van-Far had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 38-14 margin over the Westran Hornets. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Among those leading the charge was Kasen Christian, who rushed for 63 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. Those 63 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Van-Far's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Van-Far will face off against Russellville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Westran, they will square off against South Shelby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
