Football Recap: Fort Morgan Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Fort Morgan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 28-20 to the Brush Beetdiggers. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Beetdiggers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Morgan lost, don't look at Jj Marquez. Despite the final result, he threw for 186 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 55 yards on only seven carries.

Ritchie Bruno had an outrageously good game for Brush as he rushed for 161 yards and a pair of scores.

Fort Morgan's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Fort Morgan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 26-25 defeat against Lutheran on the 4th. As for Brush, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against University at 7:00 p.m.
