Basketball Game Preview: Coahoma County Red Panthers vs. North Panola Cougars

The Coahoma County Red Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the North Panola Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coahoma County's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so North Panola's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Friday, Coahoma County beat Holly Springs 49-39. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Panthers.

It was another big night for Caitlin Hall, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 19 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 51 games she's played dating back to last season. Tamia Fields was another key player, putting up eight points and 13 rebounds.

Meanwhile, North Panola unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 47-37 to Horn Lake.

Coahoma County's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-3. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.9 points per game. As for North Panola, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-9.

Coahoma County was able to grind out a solid win over North Panola when the teams last played on January 3rd, winning 35-24. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coahoma County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
