Volleyball Recap: Central Dauphin East Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Central Dauphin East challenged Northeastern on Wednesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Central Dauphin East took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 26-24, 24-26, 25-15, 15-4.

Lexis George paced Central Dauphin East's offense, picking up nine kills. George were helped by Zayda Rosario and Jordin Mbugua, who contributed 12 assists each. Aryiell Bullett controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Central Dauphin East's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Northeastern, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Central Dauphin East will venture away from home to take on Steelton-Highspire at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northeastern, they will head out to challenge New Oxford at 7:15 p.m. on October 2.
