Softball Recap: Bangor Christian Comes Up Short

Bangor Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 15-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Stearns Minutemen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Minutemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 on Monday.

Bangor Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Stearns, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bangor Christian will challenge rival Deer Isle-Stonington at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Stearns is set to face off against their familiar foe Piscataquis at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
