Volleyball Recap: Jada Nordhagen Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Gunnison

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Resurrection Christian walked away with it. They blew past the Gunnison Cowboys 3-0 on Friday.

Resurrection Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jada Nordhagen, who had nine digs and four aces. Nordhagen is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Coors, who had ten digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Resurrection Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive matchups.

Despite the defeat, Gunnison had strong showings from Addison Claus, who had eight assists and two aces, and Ruthie Lock, who had three digs and two aces.

Resurrection Christian's victory bumped their record up to 24-3. As for Gunnison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-7.

Resurrection Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Stargate School on the 14th. Gunnison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
