Softball Recap: Northwest Christian Crusaders vs. Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets
While Northwest Christian's win against Blue Ridge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Northwest Christian Crusaders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Riley Jeide and Kinsey Unger did most of the damage at the plate: Jeide went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI, while Unger went 2-for-3 with two triples and two runs. Those two triples gave Jeide a new career-high. Ella Reuter was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base.
Northwest Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-0.
