Volleyball Recap: Magnolia West Takes a Loss

Magnolia West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Mansfield Tigers.

Magnolia West's offense was headlined by Alex Kerman and Bailey Roland, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Shannon Dworaczyk and her 22 assists.

Mansfield can attribute much of their success to Gigi Payne, who had ten digs. That's the most digs Payne has posted over her last five contests.

Magnolia West's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Mansfield, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-1.

Magnolia West has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Thrall on the 28th. As for Mansfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Port Neches-Groves on the 28th.
