Basketball Game Preview: Emporia Spartans vs. Junction City Bluejays

The Emporia Spartans will face off against the Junction City Bluejays at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

If Emporia beats Junction City with 66 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Emporia beat Manhattan on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 66-65. The victory was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meanwhile, Junction City came up short against Hayden on Tuesday and fell 75-63.

Junction City's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Emporia, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.
