Basketball Recap: KIPP P Takes a Loss

KIPP P was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 28th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Northwest Halifax Vikings and fell 68-10. The Pride lost against the Vikings in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 1-0 score last time.

Northwest Halifax got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Keyara Rook out in front who posted 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssia Patterson, who scored 15 points.

KIPP P's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Northwest Halifax, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-9.

KIPP P wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 61-7 defeat against Northampton County on the 28th. As for Northwest Halifax, they will take on Wilson Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
