Volleyball Game Preview: Ellington Whippets vs. Bunker Eagles

The Ellington Whippets will head out to challenge the Bunker Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Ellington will be strutting in after a victory while Bunker will be coming in after a defeat.

Bunker will be up against a hot Ellington team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Whippets blew past Doniphan 3-0 on Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-10, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Bunker came up short against Steelville on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Bunker started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-14, 26-24, 25-18.

Ellington's win bumped their record up to 27-4-1. As for Bunker, their loss dropped their record down to 10-19-4.

Ellington beat Bunker 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Whippets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
