Despite the loss, Comfort got top-tier performance from Carter Pape, who rushed for 144 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Pape is now averaging an impressive 101.2 rushing yards per game.

Meanwhile, Tidehaven strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat East Bernard 59-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Brahmas are ranked 305th).

Comfort's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Tidehaven, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.
