Basketball Game Preview: Auburndale Eagles vs. Bonduel Bears

The Auburndale Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Bonduel Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bonduel will be up against a hot Auburndale squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. The Eagles put the hurt on Manawa with a sharp 60-38 victory on Tuesday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Wolves are ranked 310th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Auburndale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rose Hasenohrl, who went 6-for-7 to rack up 19 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Hasenohrl a new career-high in shooting accuracy (86%). Another player making a difference was Gracie Hasenohrl, who shot 67% from the field on her way to 18 points and six assists.

Auburndale was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They are 15-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, Bonduel humbled Amherst with a 62-25 victory. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Auburndale's record is now 17-8. As for Bonduel, their record now sits at 20-4.

Auburndale lost to Bonduel on the road by a decisive 40-24 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
