North Allegheny entered their tilt with Butler on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Golden Tornado a 1-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering North Allegheny's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Butler are ranked 120th).

North Allegheny's one-goal win came courtesy of Francis Randiga, who's now up to six this season.

North Allegheny's win bumped their record up to 9-3-2. As for Butler, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Allegheny will welcome Seneca Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Butler, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fox Chapel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fox Chapel's last seven contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
