Volleyball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

If Trinity was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Richmond Heights last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Beachwood Bison on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bison this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

While Trinity was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-8.

Among those leading the charge was Gianna Preston, who had ten digs and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Beachwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Trinity will head out to face off against Fairview at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Beachwood, they will venture away from home to challenge Garfield Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
