Basketball Game Preview: Berrien Rebels vs. Bacon County Raiders

The Berrien Rebels will square off against the Bacon County Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Berrien has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 20.

Berrien is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Jeff Davis last Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Berrien lost 68-48 to Jeff Davis. The Rebels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.

Meanwhile, Bacon County fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Jeff Davis on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 55-48 to the Yellowjackets. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Bacon County now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Berrien, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Berrien came up short against Bacon County in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 52-42. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bacon County's Santiago Bizzell, who posted 18 points along with eight boards and seven assists.
