It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Rigby ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Madison Bobcats 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since May 3, 2024.

Traylee Reid was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over eight innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.

Reid wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Cook, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. That's the most hits Cook has posted since back in April of 2024.

Rigby's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3. As for Madison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.

Rigby will have a chance to go back-to-back against Madison: the pair will be back at it again later today.
