Basketball Game Preview: B O L D Warriors vs. Cherry Tigers

Two dominant guards in Jack Gross and Noah Sundquist are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The B O L D Warriors will take on the Cherry Tigers on Thursday. One thing working in B O L D's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 matchups.

B O L D is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 76-49 victory over Madelia.

Gross continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 10-for-13 to rack up 24 points along with seven assists and seven boards. His evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Owen Baumgartner, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: B O L D was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Cherry waltzed into their game on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They beat the Warriors by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 77-56. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Warriors are ranked 97th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

B O L D is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points over those games. Cherry's win was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 30-1.
