Mitchell had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Lecanto on Monday. The Mitchell Mustangs blew past the Lecanto Panthers 12-2. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

Mitchell got a great performance from MAX TEKULA as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, JOHNATHON RODRIGUEZ was a standout: he scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of KYLE KOSLIN, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one double.

Mitchell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lecanto only posted a batting average of .333.

Mitchell's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Lecanto, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.
