Basketball Game Preview: High Tech SD Storm vs. La Jolla Vikings

The High Tech SD Storm will venture away from home to square off against the La Jolla Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. High Tech SD is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56 points per game this season.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, High Tech SD turned things around against San Diego Jewish Academy on Tuesday. They walked away with a 68-56 win over the Lions.

Hiro Nakamura went supernova for High Tech SD, going 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 34 points in addition to seven assists and three steals. Those seven assists gave Nakamura a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Blackaller, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 12 points along with seven boards and three blocks.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for La Jolla, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They secured a 52-47 W over Army-Navy on Tuesday.

La Jolla pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for High Tech SD, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Everything went High Tech SD's way against La Jolla when the teams last played back in November of 2022, as High Tech SD made off with a 62-37 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for High Tech SD since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
