James F. Byrnes is a perfect 8-0 against Wade Hampton since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Rebels will welcome the Generals at 7:00 p.m. James F. Byrnes will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

James F. Byrnes' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Boiling Springs 7-0. Considering the Rebels have won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Wade Hampton was able to grind out a solid victory over Mauldin on Wednesday, taking the game 9-6. The Generals haven't had any issues with the Mavericks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Kellyn Kingston made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off ten hits. Kingston was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Sanaii Rivers was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Breleigh Betsill, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Wade Hampton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

James F. Byrnes' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Wade Hampton, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

James F. Byrnes took their win against Wade Hampton when the teams last played last Tuesday by a conclusive 25-1 score. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
