Basketball Recap: Ashland Comes Up Short

Ashland lost against Westwood back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ashland Clockers fell just short of the Westwood Wolverines by a score of 49-46. While losing is never fun, the Clockers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Wolverines are ranked 12th).

This is the second loss in a row for Ashland and nudges their season record down to 3-11. As for Westwood, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Ashland will head out to face off against Auburn at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Auburn will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Ashland surely won't give up without a fight. Westwood has already played their next matchup (against Holliston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
